The Wind Pass

Once a Harkonnen-controlled technology hub, the Wind Pass has transformed into a critical water-trading center managed by the Water Shippers. Players exploring this dangerous region will encounter new Landsraad missions, hostile threats, and valuable opportunities for resource gathering.

For endgame players, the Wind Pass is ideal for coordinated squad runs. Bringing balanced loadouts with shield-breaking weapons and mobility tools can dramatically improve survival chances in the area's tighter combat spaces.

The Old Quarry Testing Station

The update also tones down Abomination aggression slightly, making encounters more manageable without removing the tension that defines Dune's combat.

Self-Hosted Servers Arrive

One of the most requested features is finally here: self-hosted servers.

Players can now host their own persistent Dune: Awakening worlds directly from their machines through the Experimental server browser tab. This opens the door for private communities, custom roleplay experiences, and controlled PvP environments.

Combat balance also received attention. The Experimental Lightning Gun has been rebalanced after firing more shots than intended, ensuring it remains powerful without dominating every encounter.
