Since Director Sam Raimi got on board in July this WoW Cataclysm Classic film has been the subject of headlines. The news broke last week that the film was set to premiere in the year 2011 and be titled "The Rising of the Lord King." The title could indicate that the film would tell an epic Lord of the Rings-like tale that follows Arthas Menethil, a benevolent Prince of the Paladin who was corrupted by runeblade Frostmourne and transformed into a WoW Cataclysm Classic lord.

At the time of writing, Blizzard tainment had not made any comments about its involvement in the WoW Cataclysm Classic movie's storyline. In contrast, Raimi was all too content to speak with MTV News about his vision for the movie's plot which he claims will stay true to the franchise's spirit.

"We would like to be true in this game...to to the Horde and to the Alliance along with the legends that is portrayed within the game and the archetypes it offers," Raimi said. "I believe we should look for touchstones in the game in order to ensure that it is accurate and authentic and select one or a few of the countries that are depicted in the game with as exactness and authenticity as is possible."

In the next moment, Raimi revealed that the WoW Cataclysm Classic movie will feature the same screenwriter that was awarded the Oscar award for the 1997 film Saving Private Ryan.
