Heading to the Troodos Mountains: Driving or Transfer?

I’m currently planning a retreat to a small stone villa in the Troodos Mountains for my upcoming Cyprus trip. I’ve heard the mountain routes can be tricky if you aren't used to local driving habits or left-hand traffic, especially as the sun starts to set. Has anyone here arranged airport transportation Cyprus specifically for destinations outside the main coastal cities?
