Coventry pair Mou sa and Stewart caused veteran Griffin all kinds of trouble down the left flank first half; one particular chance was great build up play. A one two between the par which Stewart brought a fancy back heel into play sent Mou sa to shoot straight at Woods. Rovers Cotterill had a parried effort from Murphy, the Irishman pushing away and safely getting the follow Ian Desmond Jersey up. Captain Carl Baker was very quiet all game, his opening shot easily saved by Woods, Barton had the last chance of the half firing just over the bar with it rattling the netting on the way up. Complete domination in the first half.Second half we were the opposite, we did an England! Cotterill had a fantastic chance for the away side, firing towards goal causing Murphy to dive to his left to keep it out, heroic diving save. Coventry had their only real chance of the game, it was that man Christie again, whipping in a cro s come shot that rattled off the bar, Im not sure he meant it though! Doncaster had their selfs to blame not scoring throughout though, centre back McCombe heading over Chris Iannetta Jersey after being unmarked, absolute sitter! Substitute Furman went the closest, smashing a shot off the post beating Murphy stretching hands; thankfully it went out for a goal kick. Doncasters danger man Cotterill had the last chances, one easily saved by Murphy and one that he should really have buried, running free in the area, firing past Murphy but somehow it didnt go in, I gue s some last ditch heroic defending stopped it. That was it for any clear cut chances thank god; thankfully we were able to manage the away sides pre sure.
