Proper storage is often underestimated, but it’s a cornerstone of preserving thermal labels and preventing premature fading. How you store unused labels and labeled items directly impacts their readability.
Unused thermal labels should be kept in a cool, dry environment—away from sunlight, heat sources, and moisture. Avoid storing them near plastics, solvents, or oils, as these substances can react with the thermal coating and cause discoloration. Seal labels in airtight containers to protect them from humidity and dust.
Labeled items also require care: avoid stacking them to reduce friction, and keep them out of direct UV light or high-temperature areas like attics or vehicles. For long-term storage, wrap labeled items in protective materials or use storage bins to shield against environmental stress. With proper storage habits, thermal labels retain their clarity for months or even years. Click here to know more.
