Sustainability is a key focus in modern construction, and aluminum coils stand out as an eco-friendly choice. Unlike steel, aluminum is 100% recyclable, and recycling it uses just 5% of the energy needed to produce primary aluminum—far less than steel’s 2-3x higher energy consumption for recycling.
The environmental impact is tangible: using recycled aluminum coils for a residential gutter project cuts carbon emissions by around 80 tons vs. new steel. Aluminum’s light weight also contributes indirectly—fewer transport trips reduce fuel use, and lower structural load decreases a building’s long-term heating and cooling energy needs. For green builds, aluminum coils are the responsible choice. Click here to know more.
