While this isnt a move thatll meaningfully change the outfields ceiling, Tauchmans plate discipline gives him a higher floor than Fletcher. He could hit towards the top of the lineup. The Sox would surely be happy to cash him in at the deadline if hes performing well. As a 34-year-old journeyman outfielder, Tauchman wouldnt net a big return even if he has a strong first half.
