Trevor Lewis put together quite the NHL career over two decades. It's over now, as the long-time center has officially retired from his playing career. Lewis sharing his thoughts upon retirement on Wednesday: As a kid growing up in Utah, I could have never imagined this journey. Playing over 1,000 games and winning two Bruce Brown Jr. Jersey Stanley Cups. Those milestones arent just numbers to me, they represent years of sacrifice, perseverance, and a deep love for the game. I want to especially thank the Los Angeles Kings organization for believing in me from day one. You gave me an opportunity to chase this dream, and together we built something I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Lewis was a first-round pick of the Kings in the 2006 NHL Draft, going 17th overall. Of his 17 NHL seasons, 14 of them were played with the Kings -- the first 12 and the final two. He also played a year for the and two for the . Lewis played in 1,034 NHL games, totaling 104 goals and 133 a sists (237 points). He also had 1,828 career hits and 470 blocked shots. The gritty Lewis was a member of two Stanley Cup champion teams with the Kings in 2012 and 2014. He had nine points in the first Cup run and another five points (four goals) in the second Cup run. Lewis last played in the NHL in 2024-25 for the Kings, tallying six goals and six a sists acro s 60 games.
