High-temperature and high-pressure systems may require different materials, such as stainless steel, to handle the extreme conditions. The pressure rating of the valve should match the demands of the specific application to avoid potential failure.

Flow control requirements also play a significant role in the selection of brass globe valves. These valves are particularly well-suited for applications where precise regulation of flow is needed. Unlike ball valves or gate valves, which are often used for on/off control, globe valves offer more accurate throttling. This makes them ideal for systems requiring fine adjustments to flow, such as in water treatment facilities, chemical processing, or HVAC systems.

Another influencing factor is material compatibility. Brass, which is corrosion-resistant and durable, is ideal for systems involving non-corrosive liquids or gases. However, brass may not be suitable for systems with highly corrosive substances, such as strong acids or alkalis, in which case materials like stainless steel or bronze may be preferred.

Finally, maintenance and cost are practical considerations. Brass globe valves are relatively low-maintenance compared to other valve types, but they still require periodic inspection and cleaning. Their cost-effectiveness makes them a popular choice for many residential and commercial applications.
