High-temperature and high-pressure systems may require different materials, such as stainless steel, to handle the extreme conditions. Finally, maintenance and cost are practical considerations. Brass globe valves are relatively low-maintenance compared to other valve types, but they still require periodic inspection and cleaning. Their cost-effectiveness makes them a popular choice for many residential and commercial applications.
